Commencement of Classes:
For MS / M.Phil./ M.Sc (Engg): 
M.A. / M.Sc. / BS (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject from HEC recognized University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) rules
For PhD:
MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent degree with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 / 70% OPM / first division as per HEC rules.
Subject eligibility criteria of individual disciplines is available online (Admission regulation book) while filling the online admission form and same will also be provided (through email/ telephone only) by the concerned Department / Institute / College / Centre / School.
The candidates must have to qualify the GRE based written test (conducted by the relevant department) with 50% marks for M.Phil and 70% for PhD.
Interview must be qualified with 50% marks.
HEC awardees under indigenous scholarship scheme are encouraged to apply.
The candidate must obtain greater than 19.1 out of 40 marks in academic merit (merit formula table and regulations is available at www.pu.edu.pk/dpcc / rule_procedure.htm) to be eligible for taking written test.
All admission rules regarding MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg./Hons) / Ph.D in Admission Regulations Book, PU will be applicable. For further information (Regarding admission rules Book, regulations, eligibility criteria) please contact to the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College / School (through email/ telephone only).
Processing and examination fee i.e. Rs.500/- must be deposited using online Bank challan form generated during application submission in HBL A/C No.00427900084303 or UBL A/C No.225592551 (MCA).
Candidate in job should provide NOC from his/her employer. Candidates from other universities have to provide NOC.
Candidates waiting for the result of 8th Semester BS / 4th Semester M.A / M.Sc can apply (with undertaking) and will have to provide the complete result notified by the Controller of Examinations or concerned department before interview. Otherwise, they will not be considered for admission.
If last degree of the candidate is from other than Punjab University, Equivalence Certificate from PU Equivalence Cell must also be submitted till 27.08.2019. Candidates who failed to submit will not be included in merit list.

Special Person have one reserved seat in M.Phil. and one seat in PhD in whole the University.
